I love combining pictures and words. As a fine artist, I use painted images to establish a mood, to capture a memory, or to offer a story for the viewer to discover. The idea of storytelling has captured my imagination, and I've turned my creative efforts toward writing and illustrating children's books. My first illustrated kids book, The City Ever Green, will be released in the summer of 2024. The vivid illustrations in this book were created with my hand painted papers, cut and assembled into playful images to tell this story about nature and renewal.
